Arrival

You’ll be collected from the airport.

Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali — Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

This day jolts with your African safari driver guide picking you up from Kigali International airport and boarding on an exhilarating road drive to the extreme south western Uganda. A stopover for lunch will be made en route. The dense rain forest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most abundant and rich in the world, being home to a diversity of primates, animals, insects and mysterious birds. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge for relaxation.

Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Mist camp amidst the forests and luxuriant hills of Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, depart for the gorilla trekking briefing point. This gorilla walk can take up to six hours, so a reasonable degree of fitness and a strong pair of walking shoes are required. The location of the Gorillas is erratic thus packed lunch is recommended for this venture. After tracking, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening. You can have an optional canoe ride or swim in the Bihazia free lake.

Day 3: Transfer from Bunyonyi to Kigali

On this day, you will check out of the resort and embark on a border crossing expedition from Western Uganda to Kigali city. Depending on your arranged flight time, you may have lunch with us (There is also a possibility of an optional Kigali city tour to the Genocide Museum) and later transfer to Kigali international airport, to readily catch your flight back home.
